Mr Gerald Hackett MD FRCOG
Consultant Gynaecologist & Obstetrician

Gerry HackettMay I introduce myself as an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Trust where I have been working as a consultant for over 20 years.

I care for women with a wide range of benign gynaecological problems but my special expertise is in the management of menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, and in the most recent surgical techniques of hysteroscopy and laparoscopy.

I have also maintained my obstetric practice, being referred women with high risk pregnancies, and requiring specialist ultrasound imaging. For further information please visit my other website - Cambridge Fetal Care

During my time as a Consultant I have been responsible for the introduction of a number of new services and over the past 5 years as Divisional Director for Women's Services have overseen the building of the Cambridge IVF Centre and the extended Rosie Hospital which was recently opened by her Majesty the Queen.

I am an Associate Lecturer to the University of Cambridge and continue to be research active.

Please see an abbreviated CV attached.

Personal Profile

Outside of work my time is spent with my wife, a Paediatrician, and my sons who are growing up all too quickly. Otherwise I am constantly striving to improve my tennis game and keep sufficiently fit to survive skiing each year.
